National grade competitions Fig B & Nat C

An excellent drive up to Dundee (Thanks Steve O) was followed next day by Alex competitng in the Fig B U19's. Alex was disappointed in finding himself 8th out 8 but managed to pull up 2 places in the final to finish in 6th place. Some 'time of flight' improvement should see Alex move up the listings at the next competition.

Emma P, Emma S, Shona and Rachael all competed in the Nat C 019's.

We were all pleased with the fact that  both Emma's finished 2 routines. Unfortunately Emma P received another caution which means she will have to requalify at grade D to compete at this level again.

Shona bounced beautifully (only OK as far as she was concerned!) and received the qualifying marks which allow her to enter national finals in Birmingham in July. She went into the final in 4th place and after another superb bounce got herself on the winners podium to recieve a bronze medal.

Rachael competed the best routines I have seen her do at competition to finsih in 10th place. Just missed out on the final and just missed the qualifying marks for national finals.

A big thank you to Jenni W for travelling with us and using her time/skills to be our judge on the Sunday.

Everyone - Well done, keep up the good work and see what you can do at Liverpool comp on June 2nd/3rd.

A big thank you  to Leon, Emma S, Jenny & Jenni, Mark  ( Libby and Ella's dad ) and Mike  (my better half ) for sorting out the mats and trampolines last night.

We now have our 4 x 4 webbing back  ready for the National C and Fig B competitors to train. on.

Dundee here we come!

New Building- How to get in.

The new academy looks nearly finished and we start training there on Monday 23rd April

Please make sure you have set up your standing order.

To get to the sports hall please use the gated entrance at the New Lane end of Greenroyd Ave (There is a school sign at entrance)

Park in the school grounds. The current entrance to the sports hall is via a fire door on the building on your right.

A postcode for near the entrance is

BL2 5DD

Closure of Withins LC

Well, that's it folks. The end of an era.

Withins Leisure Centre finally closed it's doors on Sat 31st March.

It was a sad farewell as staff went their separate ways.

The good news is that BOLTON TRAMPOLINE CLUB are transferring all their sessions into the new ST CATHERINE'S ACADEMY, stich-me-lane, as from Monday 23rd April.

If you haven't paid your British gymnastic membership and first lesson fees then you need to contact me. Any unpaid  sessions will be filled from our ever increasing waiting list as from Tuesday 10th April.
